Medasis was
designed from the ground up for
productivity and performance. The
use of the mouse is
optional on most data
entry screens because study after
study has shown that the use of a
mouse severly degrades keyboard
productivity. You may choose to
use the mouse if you prefer.
Function keys are
used throughout the Medasis
software to allow quick access to
standard operations. The keys F1,
F2 and F3 are standard throughout
the system. The F1 key will
cancel any changes you have made
and return to the top of the
Window. If you are already at the
top of the Window it will close
the Window. The F2 is used to
save charges or start a process.
The F3 key will bring up a search
window to allow an item such as
procedure code to be searched by
name. These keys have been made
standard throughout the software
so you don't have to guess what
key to hit. We also provide
additional information in the
bottom panel about any other
Function keys that are unique to
the present Window.
A key productivity
booster is the visual feedback
that Medasis provides. As you key
through any window the active
field turns green to provide
visual feedback as to the
position of the cursor. On fields
that require a code, you may
enter the code or use F3 to
search for the code. If an
invalid code is entered the
system will alert the operator by
turning red and beeping. This
feature keeps invalid data from
getting into your system.
Medasis offers
many powerful features, such as
the ability to send a statement
to any responsible party.
Medasis allows you
to place accounts on hold for
statement and insurance billing
right from the patient screen.
The is no need to go through
every charge like many other
system force you to do. Once the
reason for holding an account has
been cleared a simple click
allows billing on that account.
An account may be
place on a budget to track
promised payments.
Note that on all
windows the upper panel displays
the current database practice
name and date. This is very
important for larger clinics that
may have multiple database's on a
single server. We designed the
software to make it very easy to
select another practice.
The software
prints plain paper encounter
forms from the patient window on
demand or for all appointments
using a date range.
Medasis prints
plain paper chart information
sheets showing the entire
demographic information set,
including coverage information.
