• Many systems force the operator to type in full names. You may do that with Medasis, however only the first two characters followed by a command and the first initial are all that is required. In most cases this narrows the selections down to a few patients and the required patient is easily selected.

• The Date of Birth is displayed on the search screen to provide a secondary verification that the correct patient has been selected.

• The system remembers the last account number as you move from window to window so that you do not have to remember the account or perform another search.
